Holiday with trouble = Troliday :)

I was craving for the trip to Romania we would do for Winter holidays, when we had to do a totally unexpected one week with three days extension trip to out country for hubby's stuff.
Luckily I just got into winter vacation (having a seasonal job) so I could join him.
The journey was very nice, I got to drive a lot, so I had no time to get bored. Did I ever mention how much I love to drive on the highway??? While having sunny, warm days here, back in Germany fall the first snow...eeek!!!
As used for us things got complicated and we had to stay 3 days longer than planned. That's why this was more like a TROLIDAY (TRoubles in hOLIDAY) :)
So here comes a Photo Streaming from our little troliday in Romania.

        Budapest by car
        foggy early morning sun
        more Budapest
GPS intentionally getting us lost on the way
hubby happy to arrive in Cluj, our first destination

           Enjoying the warm sun here...

  ...and the tasty Noceta cake

       big apple selling
       yum sesame pretzels
       missed those "Cheasla" grapes
the market was full of crysantemes

YEEEY for getting to our tiny bee farm
Self picked apples are so tasty!
       cute gum boots

Sweet tomatos from hubby's mommy's garden

DElicious roasted chestnuts sold on streets by gipsies

  Come to caaaaaaabbaaaaaage!!!

And that was it. Our little holiday full of stuff to do, melancholic shopping, many errands and even if I really enjoyed it I also miss our cozy little nest.
Status now: excited for the back journay starting now...

I ♡ Romania #2

Hi dears,

The second beauty you definitely must know about my country is The Bran Castle.

Situated in Transylvania, near Bran and 30 km away from Brașov,  the castle built in the 14th century is a national monument and landmark in Romania.

Commonly known as Dracula's Castle, although it seems like Count Dracula never lived here, the castle is now a museum open to tourists, displaying art and furniture collected by Queen Marie. At the bottom of the hill there are cozy barns where romanian peasants exhibit and sell self made souvenirs.

Famous artists and directors have chosen The Bran Castle as their set. Bram Stoker was inspired by it for his "Dracula", "Blood Rayne" was also filmed here, as many romanian films. Even Natalia Oreiro, the uruguayan singer and actress visited the castle and filmed her video for Como te olvido.

So if you are touring through Romania, don't miss this spot!
If you wanna be part of a really spooky Halloween party, Count Dracula invites you to a scary night tour. This year, the party was hold on 27. October, but stay tuned for next years event!

I hope you all have a great week and enjoy my little Romanian Tour I give you on Monday.

Hello October & I ♡ Romania #1

Well HELLO OCTOBER!!!
I know it's Monday, everyone is still "moody", me too :), but let's just skip our moods and rock the week!
From now on I wanna do a weekly Monday post, where I will show you reasons why I love Romania!
If I had to write things I don't like about it, there are plenty. But that's not my job! I'm here to show you how beautiful it can be.
